Welcome! Starting this project is very new for me and out of my comfort zone, so thank you for being here. I just wanted to introduce myself and explain more about starting this blog just because I aways feel more connected knowing more about a person.
Why am I doing this?
It started as a working project during a course I was taking, but I wanted to expand on this into something I loved and wanted to share with others! I thought long and hard about what people wanted to write about and I couldn’t think of anything I thought people found interesting. It then dawned on me… just write about what I enjoy to read and hear about. And as I have a few hobbies and things I wish someone had shared for me to find. So this mish mash of who I am and what I like, I am sure people will find something to enjoy with me.
So, now you know why I’m doing my little project, seems only tight you know a little bit about me.
Who am I?
Hi! I’m Lucy-Elizabeth, and have only just figured out what I want to do with my life. I love coffee, animals, card games, sailing, Formula 1 and spending time with friends and family; however I am most definitely not a fan of my gluten intolerance! I have many hobbies including, reading, baking, puzzles, cross stitching, as well as a few minor additional hobbies. Similarly, it has taken me years and may failed hobbies to find my passion. From learning the flute (thanks mum!), to sailing, to becoming a qualified nail technician. It wasn’t until last year I found my passion: Books. I fell back in love with reading after leaving my apprenticeship, to the point that is it is now my dream, to open a bookshop! If I never fell back in love with reading and books, I would still be wondering what to do with my life.
So after discovering my passion, I finally managed to figure out my career and ambitions in life. I am (as I am writing this) working on my final year of a bachelor degree in Business and Management with The Open University and would like to start a career in project management, ideally in the book industry somewhere such as publishing. While starting and developing my project management career, I will be saving and planning for my end goal dream.. to open up and run my own bookshop with hopefully a cafe extension!
